Sing it out loud!

BY CHAHIRA NOUIRA
@ VOL 7 ON MAY 09, 2017

When singing to win a TV show or to be the lead singer in the trendiest band in town has become the norm, we seem to have forgotten that singing is more than just that. Sharing the gift of singing across genres, countries and cultures goes beyond just a performance on stage. it´s about connecting, sharing and learning.

Chahira Nouira shares the story of how songs and singing has led her through life and helped her find a place whereever she goes.

Momentum of Movement

BY AVRINA PRABALA-JOSLIN
@ VOL 7 ON MAY 09, 2017

In an emotional speech, Avrina Joslin makes a strong point, to why everyone should be a feminist:

What does it mean to be an anti-homosexual? What does it mean to be an anti-feminist? Can personal opinions or thoughts without activism affect the momentum of movements? But, freedom of expression you say? Well, thoughts have a way of spreading...

How to paint a planet in 20x20 seconds

BY GEORGE DATSERIS
@ VOL 7 ON MAY 09, 2017

When George Datseris started Spray Paint Art, he was immediately hooked by the simplicity of it and how quickly you could get good looking results. In a few months of self-practice, he got better and was soon even asked to display his artwork.

A few years and art exhibitions later, he decided to teach people about the art himself and hand over his excitement for the craft. To show how easy it can actually be, he decided to take the crisp format of PechaKucha to turn it into a tutorial on how to get started being creative with the spray cans and paint a planet - in less than 20x20 seconds!
