Die Geschichte von Franz Mehlhose

BY RALF NEUES
@ VOL 3 ON FEB 27, 2015

In 1911, Franz Mehlhose, a local Erfurt entrepreneur, established a unique place offering hospitality and entertainment.   Decades passed, owners changed hands, usage of the space was often converted and the building fell into decay.

RALF NEUES showcases that story and the building's transformation back to its original function as the current Franz Mehlhose 'cultural café'.   Owned and operated by the father-son team, FMC again provides a special venue for theater, music, readings and art, with culinary delights on offer in a relaxed atmosphere (in German)
