William Breckenridge is a noted community advocate. He serves on the Heritage Advisory Committee for HRM, and is also Vice-Chair for the Schmidtville Stakeholders Committee. William has a strong belief in learning from the past in order to build the future. Born and raised in Schmidtville, he is well educated on all matters concerning the neighourhood.

William has a BA in classics from St. Mary's University, with minorconcentrations in history and geography. He also obtained a Business Administration Diploma in Investment Management from NSCC. Tonight he hopes you will enjoy a slide presentation of Halifax's transit heritage and urban development titled: "Schmidtville in Transit".

He believes that transit networks have enormous potential to do more than just move people- they can support our arts, culture and activities.
