Memory Space
BY CARO AND MIKE
IN BERLIN
Caro and Mike did a live performance with tape recorder, voice and sound effects: An audio visual work in progress about isolation and memory of the human body & spirit in the context of empty, abandoned spaces and places. They used the setting of a former Russian military base in the town of Wünsdorf to re-tell their story of ghosts that reappear in the form of voices, images and sounds. Kind of spooky!

Legendary musician, producer and DJ A Guy Called Gerald was the honorable surprise act at a special PechaKucha event in Berlin. Briefed by his manager about two hours before the event started (when he woke up), Gerald threw together a colorful mix of images which had history for him. Listening to the stories he told, this was a very relaxing and entertaining presentation that ended the event in perfect harmony.

Somewhere between dusk and dawn - a life around club music
BY MEGAN MANN
IN BERLIN
'Motivation Megan' rocked at the end of our Berlin Pecha Kucha for Haiti. When desperately asking around for presenters to jump in 3 days before the event was scheduled, it was her casual nonchalance and effortless promise to show some of her amazing photos that gave us organizers enough energy to pull it all through. A Guy Called Gerald-who Megan is working with-made some relaxing live music for Megan's photos from around the world.
reconnecting to the universe
BY KINGA KIELCZYNSKA
IN BERLIN
Kinga disguises her sculptures, graphic and performance art as a talk about "a secret cult, that is trying to reconnect to the universe". Having lost the togetherness of man and nature, Kinga travels to energetic locations with other "cult members" to perform rites and exercises to be one with nature. The fact that they steal a lamp from the hotel lobby to channel the sun's energy seems natural. Sensual, profound and ... funny!
