Josh Alves is a children's book illustrator and cartoonist from Glenburn, Maine. He's illustrated chapter books, picture books, and has created graphics and animations for interactive books and mobile games. He shares his experience of self-producing his first children's book, "Lilly Bristol, Dinosaur Wrangler".

PR manager of Ta Kao Books, designer of Godkidlla, first considered the different mindsets of people from different cities across Taiwan, before founding the Ta Kao bookstore with a friend (he originally hoped that the business would resonate amongst Kaoshiong's readers). By combining a bookstore with a café and event space, his diversified operation has come to delight a plethora of different customers. He now looks forward to operating in the unique style of Japan's concept bookstores, offering a more refined selection of books.
