Looking at the Small Things in Life, the Necomimi Neurowear Project, and Photos from Guangzhou
Presentations In this presentation (from PKN Williamsburg Vol. 1) by Brad O'Hara, we are reminded that there is another side to life, looking beyond "the big picture." Brad challenges us to slow down and pay attention to the small objects, textures, and moments in our lives. He does this through a series of images that were all taken within 4 minutes of his own home. Mixing Japanese "cute culture" with high-tech know-how, Tomonori Kagaya presents (in Japanese, from PKN Tokyo Vol. 94) his Necomimi neurowear project, in which a pair of cute cat-like ears respond to the wearer's thoughts. Posters Today's new additions to the Tumblr blog include the poster pictured above, for next week's PKN Toronto Vol. 17 (designed by Trevor Embury), as well as a collection of posters from PKN Louisville (Vol. 2-7). Photos Today's photo gallery [Flickr] covers the recent PKN Guangzhou Vol. 11 -- above, a few photos from the night that was. Calendar There are no PKNs happening tonight, but tomorrow (September 4) we have the following 3 events on tap: PKN Chicago Vol. 23, PKN Williamsburg Vol. 2, and Cape Town celebrates its Vol. 20.
