Poster by James White You may recognize this poster, as it was one of the most visible examples of graphic design mixing with charity efforts following the Japan Earthquake -- and it also acts as the cover to the #quakebook project. The designer is Halifax-based James White, and he was a presenter at that city's Inspire Japan event on the 16th. Here's more from PKN Halifax organizer Peter Wunsch:

On a global/local connection, we had Halifax designer James White talk about his Help Japan poster which set off a global poster/graphic flurry of creativity ultimately responsible for some pretty major fundraising efforts. His poster alone has raised north of 18,000.00 $CDN (and stirred a bit of controversy around "cool" imagery being used in the context of disaster).
