Criticizing Corporate Portraits, X-Ray as Social Medium and Art, and Some More Jumping from TokyoBY PECHAKUCHA ADMIN
Presentations Tash Jefferies likes to dress in a colorful way and have big hair, in her work environment. In this funny presentation (from PKN Toronto Vol. 14), she takes a look at typical corporate profile photos, and tries to understand what the people behind them are thinking. In her presentation (from PKN Williamsburg Vol. 2), Lita Tirak tracks down the evolution of x-rays as a social medium and an art form. Posters Today's addition to the Tumblr blog is the poster that was produced for this past Sunday's PKN Lisbon Vol. 15, a very special edition that celebrated the city's International Festival for Comics & Illustration. The poster illustration is by Joana Afonso. A while back we shared the flyer that we made for tonight's PKN Tokyo Vol. 96 -- our big Tokyo Designers Week edition -- and here's a "sister" image that was also produced, which is part of tissue cases that we will be handing out at the event. As with the original flyer, the photo is by Michael Holmes and design by Luis Mendo. Yes, we do love jumping, and we'll soon share the new flyer we've produced for our regular Tokyo events, which continues the trend. Calendar As we mentioned yesterday, it's our big Tokyo Designers Week edition of PKN tonight (October 31) -- aka PKN Tokyo Vol. 96 -- and if you're in town, you won't want to miss it. Wednesday also includes the following three events: PKN Derby Vol. 7, PKN Mikkeli Vol. 1, and PKN Montevideo Vol. 8, and tomorrow we have PKN Bucharest Vol. 10.
